About Flyover America
Jun 22nd, 2009 by Sophia Dembling
We are two writers in love with America. Every diner and prairie and highway of it. The places that many people consider flyover territory—Lincoln, Nebraska; Lubbock Texas; Bayonne, New Jersey, and the like—grab hold of us. Flyover America is as much a state of mind as a place. Flyover America is packed with stories, discoveries and soul. And it’s got some great malls, too.
As well as writing about people and places in Flyover America, we hope to get a good conversation going with you. Talk to us. Yell at us. Debate us. Hell, get started now. Tell us why we’re wrong. Or, if the spirit moves you, why you couldn’t agree with us more.
(Just in case you’re curious: we do, at times, accept travel comps. We also, at all times, promise to pass along our true take on what we see, do, experience, and the hotel rooms along the way–no matter who pays.)

Totally agree. I’ve been to some places in my years, and I’ve learned as much about how to travel in Kansas as anywhere else. FoA!
Thanks for the ! Robert. It always kills me when people dismiss traveling around the U.S. But, then again, if they’re so dismissive, they probably wouldn’t really get it anyway.
Congratulations on your launch!
Looking forward to reading more~
